I liked the structure of the rooms. There were many windows so it allowed sunlight in the room. There was a kitchenette, bathroom, dining table in tge living room and a bedroom with a comfortable bed. There was an iron and iron table, closet, and heaters. Just exactly how it was described. The floors were carpet so it wasnt cold for the feet. There were plenty of supermarkets infront of the hotel where you can buy things to cook at your appartment. There was a mc donnalds too, an atm machine and so much more! Cuba street is a street away where all cafes and restaurants! And the hotel was not far away from Victoria University and the Takina convention centre where my conference was.

The reception person was lovely and very helpful. Bed was very comfy. Shower was simple and did the job. Wifi was also pretty good! I enjoyed the partial sea view.

My stay at the Mercure Hotel in Wellington over the Easter period was an absolute delight. Mercure Wellington Central City is a prime location and in walking distance of maany tourist attractions such as Cuba St, Te Papa, the Wharf & Port. My family & I loved the prompt continued service from reception and also the cleaning services through house keeping were exceptional! We also loved the view of the Central City and Port Harbour!

I was a little bit nervous about staying here after reading some of the recent reviews however our experience was great! Our room was much bigger than we were expecting, the carpet and decor looked fairly new, the bed was well made and everything was clean. The shower was hot and had great pressure, the bed was comfy and everyone that we dealt with at the hotel was super friendly and helpful. The location is second to none and brilliant for accessing everything in central Wellington by foot. There is a major building/renovation project happening right next door however they seemed to have finished the apartments and are now working at road level so we didn’t encounter any unexpected noise - the little drilling that we did hear didn’t start until after 8am and given that it was a weekday we didn’t feel this was inappropriate at all. The hotel is an older hotel but we weren’t expecting five star, this hotel met our needs fantastically, it was great value for money and we would stay here again.

Full kitchen, clean and tidy room good ventilation options. plenty of storage cupboards. Absolutely quiet rooms, even with party goers in the central city. Walking distance to everything was excellent, the staff were friendly and amazing. Incredible value for an inner city 2bdrm apartment.

Great location, within walking distance of Te Papa, cable cars and Parliament. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was very large and comfortable and the window in the room meant a nice breeze with the warmer weather. Mini fridge was handy to keep drinks and snacks cold. Shower had very good pressure.

The blue lounger was comfortable and the sun shone through in the early morning. There was an extra blanket in the cupboard, which was needed as it was a cooler night. There was a smart TV.

Superb location in central city. 10 minutes level walk to the new Takina Convention Centre across the street from Te Papa. Only 5 minutes walk to Cuba Street eating places. Apartment with two separate bedrooms was exactly what we needed for business travel with two colleagues sharing. Efficient service by reception and housekeeping when requested. Highly recommend to business travelers. We will use again.
